Il docente come educatore: un contributo fondamentale alla qualità della scuola

Abstract

Nel quadro della qualità scolastica, occorre prendere in considerazione anche la funzione educativa della scuola, oggi più che mai attuale a causa del fenomeno del disagio e della devianza. Educare significa guidare all’esercizio della libertà come capacità di agire eticamente bene. L’intervento mostra l’essenzialità di questo impegno che peraltro viene comunemente riconosciuto nei documenti normativi. L’apprendimento di conoscenze e competenze costituisce un’opportunità in tal senso se viene svolto in chiave non solamente né prevalentemente tecnico-funzionale.In the context of school quality, the educational function of the school must also be taken into account, today more than ever because of the phenomenon of discomfort and deviance. Educating means driving to the exercise of freedom as a capacity to act ethically well. The intervention shows the essentiality of this commitment, which is also commonly recognized in the regulatory documents. Learning of knowledge and skills is an opportunity in this sense if it is carried out in the key not merely or predominantly technicalfunctional.
