Abstract
This paper focuses on the study of the evil eye in Galician culture; an ailment that we classify as a specifically cultural syndrome and whose origin we can attribute to causes of a psychic or mental nature and, at the same time, of a sociocultural origin. We propose a journey through some of the most significant cultural aspects of this disease, analyzing the causes, consequences, healing processes, protective rites and geographies associated with its treatment.
