La familia como relación social

Abstract

Desde los inicios de la sociología la familia ha sido uno de los principales temas de investigación desde muy diversas perspectivas. El objetivo de este artículo es presentar la familia como relación social así como los rasgos más destacados de la misma. Para ello se hará un breve recorrido por los paradigmas sociológicos más importantes que han abordado el tema familiar, se describirá el concepto de relación social y se aplicará dicho concepto a la realidad familiar. Tras ello se analizarán las principales dinámicas relacionales intrafamiliares así como los aportes clave de esta relación a la sociedad.

From the beginnings of sociology, the family has been one of the main research topics from very different perspectives. The objective of this article is to present the family as a social relation as well as the most outstanding features of it. To do this, we will present the most important sociological paradigms that have addressed the family issue, it’ll be described, the concept of social relationship and the concept will be applied to the family reality. After that, the main intra-family relational dynamics will be analyzed, as well as the key contributions of this relationship to society.
