Educar es responder a la pregunta del otro

Abstract

El autor aborda en este trabajo la necesidad de una educación que contemple la singularidad de cada educando y su contexto socio-cultural. La educación se define como acompañamiento y guía, reconocimiento y acogida del otro, y se subraya la necesidad de vincular el lenguaje y praxis educativos a la experiencia. Así mismo, se resalta el inevitable carácter práctico y ético de la educación. Sin ética no hay educación. Y si el contexto está presente en el discurso y praxis educativos, también la política.

In this article, the author addresses the need to offer en education which contemplates the uniqueness of each student in relation to his socio -cultural background. Education is being defined as a process of orientation and gaudiness, recognition and hosting of the other, and there is a special emphasis over the requirement of educational theory and praxis to take into account the experiential dimension. At the same time, this article highlights the practical and ethical nature of education, establishing Ethics as the pillars of education. Without Ethics education cease to exist. If the socio-cultural context is being taken into consideration within theory and practice of education, so should politics be.
