El artículo propone una manera de hacer un uso didáctico de la ciudad a
partir de una optativa encuadrada en el Taller del Geógrafo y el Historiador.1 En dicha
optativa se pretende hacer un recorrido por la historia de la ciudad de Valencia. Lo interesante
es que los/las alumnos/as puedan ver in situ aquello que están estudiando en
el aula, fomentando así la valoración y conservación del patrimonio cultural, artístico e
histórico y el respeto y tolerancia hacia otras culturas.
The article puts forwards a way of making an educational use of the city
through anelective course in the Geographer and Historian workshop. In this elective
course we want to make an itinerary through the History ofthe city of Valencia. The
most interesting thing is that the students can see on site what they are studying in class
promoting, in this way, the value and conservation of the cultural, artistic and historic
heritage and respect and tolerance of other cultures.
