Abstract

Reconsideramos Res rustica (RR) 2.17.1 partiendo de la edición de Rodgers (2010). Se señalan probables corruptelas ya en el arquetipo, a la par que se proponen enmiendas y conjeturas. Nuestro objetivo es reconstruir el texto atendiendo a su coherencia con el resto de la obra y en relación con otros autores que tratan el mismo asunto, como Varrón, Plinio o Paladio.

Through close examination of Columella, Res rustica 2.17.1 in Rodgers’ text (2010), this paper points out doubtful readings and proposes several conjectures or emendations. In our essay we aim at reconstructing the original text by attending to its coherence with the rest of the work and in relation to other authors of similar subject matter, such as Varro, Pliny and Palladius.
