Ovid, Amores 1.5, mit der Enttäuschung erotischer Erwartung am Schluss
hat eine Entsprechung in Ovids Version des Europa–Mythos in Metamorphosen
2.833–3.2, wo dieselbe Erwartung am Ende von Buch 2 länger geweckt,
aber zu Beginn von Buch 3 ebenfalls enttäuscht wird. Der Aufsatz vergleicht
beide durch eine spezielle Bedeutung von cetera verbundenen Texte.
Ovid, Amores 1.5, leading to a final disappointment of erotic expectations
at the end of this elegy, has a correspondence in Ovid’s version of Europa’s
myth in Metamorphosis 2.833–3.2. There the same expectation is widely
aroused at the end of Book 2 and also disappointed at the beginning of Book
3. This paper compares both texts, linked by the special meaning of the word
cetera.
