Aristoteles did not develop a true Linguistic Theory. Nonetheless, as his corpus shows, he had a deep interest in the issue of human language. Focusing on De interpretatione, his most “linguistic” treaty, this essay analyses, discusses and puts in perspective some of the most relevant points studied by the Stagirite in the field of the History of Linguistics.en
