Abstract
Introducción: Las patologías periapicales las encontramos en un alto índice de pacientes
todos los días y muchos de ellos acuden a la clínica con retratamientos de conductos, se
trata de una patología causada por la colonización de microorganismos en el conducto
radicular y agravada por la no erradicación de estos incluso en un conducto ya tratado.
Objetivos: Estudiamos la irrigación, fase del tratamiento de conductos que es capaz de
eliminar los microorganismos de deltas apicales o conductos accesorios por su acción
tanto mecánica como química.
Y también las características, manejo y las concentraciones del NaClO, EDTA y CHX
para establecer el irrigante ideal.
Materiales y métodos: Se realiza una revisión sistemática de estudios con el objetivo
principal de catalogar a la irrigación como fase fundamental para erradicar a los
microorganismo de los conductos radiculares.
La información necesaria para llevar a cabo el trabajo fue recogida la mayor parte de
bases de datos bibliográficas como son Pubmed, Biblioteca virtual en salud , Scielo,
LILACS de acuerdo a nuestras estrategias de búsqueda, partiendo de 378 documentos
después de examinar títulos y resúmenes de documentos que cumplían con nuestros
criterios.
Resultados: Después de aplicar nuestros criterios de inclusión y exclusión, nos quedamos
con 58 documentos que se leyeron completos, llegando a eliminar 41 que no cumplían
con nuestras expectativas y nos quedamos con 17.
Conclusiones: Con la investigación que llevamos a cabo determinamos que a la hora de
realizar un tratamiento de conductos, la fase de instrumentación no es suficiente para la
limpieza del conducto, sin la fase de irrigación existe un alto porcentaje de reinfección.
A demás la mejor irrigación es la combinación de soluciones irrigadoras.
Introduction: Caries are found in a high rate of patients and many of them with root canal retreatments, a pathology caused by the colonization of microorganisms in the root canal and aggravated by the failure to eradicate them even in an already treated canal. Objective: We studied irrigation, a phase of root canal treatment that is capable of eliminating microorganisms from apical deltas or accessory canals by both mechanical and chemical action. And also the characteristics, handling and concentrations of NaClO, EDTA and CHX to establish the ideal irrigant. Methods: A systematic review of studies was carried out with the main objective of cataloguing irrigation as a fundamental phase to eradicate microorganisms from root canals. The information necessary to carry out the work was collected mostly from bibliographic databases such as Pubmed, Biblioteca virtual en salud, Scielo, LILACS according to our search strategies, starting from 378 documents after examining titles and abstracts of documents that met our criteria. Results: After applying our inclusion and exclusion criteria, we were left with 58 papers that were read in full, eventually eliminating 41 that did not meet our expectations and we were left with 17.
