Desafíos y tensiones del sistema educativo del siglo XXI. Una mirada desde la pedagogía

Abstract

La educación actual se enfrenta a una serie de retos, tensiones y desafíos a los que necesariamente debe dar respuesta. La configuración de una realidad internacional, cambiante e imprevisible, requiere personas preparadas para adaptarse a las nuevas realidades sociales, profesionales, productivas y culturales. Se precisa, por tanto, repensar las prioridades, los fines y la estructura de nuestro sistema educativo. En este artículo pretendemos aportar una reflexión en torno a algunos de estos retos –unos nuevos y otros pendientes,– con el objetivo de aportar algunas claves al debate educativo. El siglo XXI demanda una escuela para el siglo XXI. En esa labor los pedagogos y docentes tenemos un compromiso ineludible.

Education today comes up against to a series of challenges and tensions those who should be replied. The shape of a changing and unforeseeable international framework requires ready people who are able to adapt to the cultural, productive, professional and social new realities. It is necessary, therefore, rethinking the priorities, targets and structures of our educational system. Our reflections in this paper about some of these challenges –some of them are new and others pending- try to contribute some keys to education debate. The twenty-first century demands a school for the twenty-first century. In this task pedagogues and teachers have an unavoidable commitment.
