El conflicto libertad de expresión, libertad religiosa a través del cine.

Abstract

En esta intervención se tratará el tema de la necesidad de conjugar el ejercicio de la libertad de expresión con el respeto a la identidad religiosa de los ciudadanos, caracterizada por la diversidad debido a la creciente globalización. El tema de la religión ha sido una fuente constante de inspiración para el cine y especialmente cuando se trata de la religión cristiana. Se relaciona una serie de películas, que reflejan el conflicto y ponen de relieve el problema existente, con un breve comentario para cada una de las películas. El fenómeno del tema religioso en el cine se analiza con dos objetivos claros: presentar una serie de películas en las que el gran protagonista es la religión y, de carácter más pedagógico, un segundo referido a la utilización de los medios audiovisuales como instrumento de gran material de apoyo al estudiante para la resolución de los conflictos que se puedan plantear en la realidad social desde un punto de vista práctico y ameno.

This presentation deals with the topic of the need to combine the exercise of freedom of expression with respect for the religious identity of citizens, in view of the diversity caused by growing globalisation. The subject of religion has been a constant source of inspiration for the film industry and especially when it deals with Christianity. The study looks at a series of films that reflect the conflict and highlight the problem, making a brief commentary on each film. The phenomenon of the subject of religion in film is analysed with two clear objectives in mind: firstly, to present a series of films in which religion plays the leading role and a second, more educational aim, referring to the use of audiovisual media as a valuable tool for students for resolving conflicts that may arise in their social lives from a practical and user-friendly point of view.
