Abstract

Topical nega-tive pressure wound therapy stands out among them. It has a registered trademark in Spain known as VAC® (vacuum assisted closure). To show the advantages and disadvantages of VAC® therapy over the conven-tional cure in pressure ulcers and assess the cost-benefit of the treatment. Bibliographic review through exhaustive search in scientific da-tabases and literature related to VAC® therapy together with the submission of the search equation. 10 selected articles are analyzed for being considered the most relevant ones and also for being published in indexed journals
