Abstract

Los procesos inflamatorios con irritación que afectan al manto cutáneo son denominados dermatitis y estas son producidas por infinidad de procesos tanto intrínsecos como extrínsecos (temperatura corporal o ambiental, viento, agentes químicos, traumatismos), pero centrándonos en el tema referente a la piel perilesional, que afecta los alrededores de las heridas agudas o crónicas, puede estar alterada según las condiciones de humedad, y con ello aparece la maceración, ya sea por un contacto prolongado de los exudados de la herida, la fricción, debido a vendajes compresivos, lo que produce una perdida de su función barrera y facilita la posible colonización bacteriana.

En este trabajo se presenta los resultados de 179 casos clínicos que presentaban lesiones periulcerosas como eccema seco, húmedo o alérgico, maceración y piel frágil, tratadas según su estadio con cremas barreras de oxido de zinc, eosina acuosa al 2%, crema de hidrocortisona al 1%, películas barrera y ácidos grasos hiperoxigenados.
